World Quilt Show - New England - Part 3 .......and I won a giveaway! Woohoo!

First, here is a pic of my super winnings from Gail at The Fairy Gardener Quilts too!  I can't believe I won!  I am so looking forward to going page by page through this book.....and these fat quarters are luscious!  Yummy!  If you haven't been to Gail's blog, check it out.....her knowledge of all things gardening is amazing, and she is so helpful, and shares so many tips!  And she has beautiful pics of gardening, too!  Oh, and she's a super quilter, too!  Yay!

And now, for the final chapter of the World Quilt Show - New England!  Click on the pics to enlarge for details.....they are really amazing quilts!  I was so glad I was able to go to this show!  I will not miss the future ones!

This first one is a stack and whack, but with that added yellow wedge, it really glowed!  I hadn't seen that done to one before (where have I been, right?).

This quilt was amazing....the detail is phenomenal.....depicting photos of the quilter's travels....each frame is a work of art!

I just love hexies.....this one was completely hexies....but in really dark non-contrasting rounds on the corners.

This hexie quilt was appliqued to a background....I may use that when I finish my hexie....and I really liked the hand quilting on this one.....not around every hex, but splitting the centers in a triangle grid.  Nice!

When I saw this quilt from a distance, I thought it was a crocheted granny square blanket......but check out the detail shot.....it was a really great quilt!

This quilt was not a favorite, but I did like the two blocks with the little sayings in them.

Some real stunners.....the handwork was just gorgeous!

These birds were so beautiful.....and who knew I'd like lime green so much!  lol

This quilt was mesmerizing to look at......but broken down, it is a tumbling block.  But wow, each side is SO detailed!

Again....lime green....and fuschia.....Wow!  Love it!

This one was so fun......quirky, minimalist.....I just loved it!  And really great quilting, too!

Ok, there you have it!  Now I'm off to pack for my cruise!  The countdown is just 2 days!  Yikes!  I can't believe it!  And the hurricane looks like it is totally bypassing Florida and the islands we are headed for.....we are so LUCKY!  Yay!

I won't be blogging while on the cruise, but I'll be taking tons of pics of the boat, islands, and especially the quilting classes.....and will share them when I return!  See ya Labor Day!  :o)
