Pieced back is done!

I just finished piecing the backing for the wedding quilt!  I thought instead of the usual 10" squares that I've been doing lately, I'd jazz it up a little!  These are all fabrics from the front, just none of the whites.

Hey now, what's that white-ish dot on the right side???  It's definitely from my camera!  Whew!  :o)

And here is the front, complete with mitered borders.  I had auditioned several different pieced borders on it, but they all just made it way too busy......the center screams loud enough on it's own.....don't need borders screaming at me, too!  lol

I'm hoping to get this sandwiched tomorrow.......but I feel a need to go thrifting first!  We'll see what happens!  :o)

Hope you have a great day!

  1. The back is beautiful, too! Those little squares are like sparkling gems!
Your quilting is so wonderful - can't wait to see this finished. Go thrifting first if that is where you are pulled. Maybe there are some of those yard long photographs calling to you! I don't know about you, but I have to be in the right mindset to machine quilt. Have fun!

  10. Wow, that is a very impressive quilt! I've never tried flying geese, but I want to. And you quilt back - it's fancy enough for a quilt front. Wow, wow!
