WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!

Long story short....CA was great, MIL turned 80 and loved the quilt I gave her....no drama or chaos among family....great trip!  Came home, did laundry, repacked.....and headed for NYC for the RED AND WHITE QUILT SHOW!  All I can say is WOW!  It was stunning, and I took as many pics as I could.  A few are a bit blurry, but you get the idea!  (Hey, I'm a quilter, not a photographer!  lol)

Enjoy!  (I have no idea how many pics I can fit in this post, but I will post again if it limits me!)

The way they hung the quilts from cables attached to the ceiling was genius!  Each quilt was backed with another quilt, so you could walk completely around the 'towers' and inside, as well.  It was breathtaking!  I took mostly shots of quilts that are now in my "MUST MAKE ONE DAY" album.....I hope I live long enough!  lol

Some are portions of quilts, so I could really see the individual blocks....also the great quilting!

There was absolutely no damage to any of these quilts.....they all looked pristine (a few had age wear and discoloration.....but just a smidge!)  These darkened areas are shading from being a little baggy at a fold.

I'm so in love with this one!  Sweet Sweet Sweet!

Love the only 3 borders, 2 different styles..... this was one of my favorites!

Such beautiful quilting!  And the applique was Hawaiian style, in one piece of fabric.

The quilting on this beauty was stunning!

I hope you are able to click on the pics and enlarge them.....I posted them as big as I could within the space.  I have more pics, and will post again tomorrow with the rest.

Half way through this show, my camera said 'card full'.....Nooooooo!  So I switched to my phone camera, and called my hubby and cousin (who were walking across the Brooklyn Bridge.....that was the ONE thing he wanted to do on this trip.....cool!).....and they headed for a store and got me a 2GB card......so we returned the next day and I took more shots.  I KNEW they would want to see this show......it was THAT amazing!  And they did love it.

Still feeling like I'm in Oz!
